Foods Rich in Vitamin B17

Before we start on what foods contain Vitamin B17 we should always first mention what's Vitamin B17. Vitamin B17 is that the casual name for the molecule Amygdalin. Amygdalin is naturally found in over 1200 different food.

 

Below may be a list of the most common foods that contain Amygdalin/ Vitamin B17.

 

  • Nuts that are raw like bitter raw almonds and raw macadamia nuts.
  • Some vegetables like carrots, celery, bean sprouts, mung beans, lima beans, and butter beans.
  • Certain seeds including millet, barley, flaxseeds, and buckwheat.
  • The kernel of the pit of the many fruits like apples, plums, apricots, cherries, and pears.
  • While many foods contain B17 with different amounts of Amygdalin. for instance, lentils do contain some amount of B17 it's really big and is usually processed out before you eat it. The kernels of stone fruits like peaches and apricots contain high concentrations of Vitamin B17 and remain intact thanks to the protective container of the seeds.

 

As with most nutrients, the simplest thanks to including them into your diet is by eating them within the whole food form. Try eating fresh unprocessed produce a day.
